has anyone fed this before? its a type if sea kelp that is suposed to lower thier body temp and increase appetite.

I am presently feeding it to young weanling calves. Does it work? Don't know, I haven't taken their temperatures

They may be a bit more slick since being on it? Not sure how I will make a decision as to whether this should become a part of our routinue? The calves are all weighed once per month, so the next time we weigh them, if we see some increased growth rate, I guess it could be related?

I'm going to need more time to know what's up with this stuff.

A friend with a large Angus herd swears by Tasco and his cattle are all slick and shiny. He says it's about $17.50 for 5# (hope I got those numbers right) and he mixes it in with his minerals and the cows really go for it. He also said it lowers their body temps (by a degree or so?) and that he stops adding it in mid-October.
