Tanning a bear hide

Has anyone done this before and if so are there any tips and could you tell me how to do it.

I think you can get tanning kits from Cabellas.com to do your own hide. If you skin them with a sharp knife you can keep the hide pretty clean so it's easier to flesh. I just skinned out one last night lol. Not sure what a taxidermist would charge you to do it-bears get ripe pretty fast so I'd get the hide off him pretty quick if I could.

The only tip I have for bear hides is send them to a professional tannery.
