Swollen navel

I have a bottle calf that was premature and needed tube feeding etc. She is almost 4 months old and probably weighs 100lbs soaking wet. Yesterday I noticed her navel is swollen and filled. Its about the size of a softball. Its painful to her when palpated. I see a vet visit in my future...but starting here first. I will try to grab a pic today

Last fall I had a 2 week old calf that had a swollen navel. Navel was dipped in iodine at birth. Treated with LA 300 and banamine. Completely recovered.

I agree with calling your vet, especially since the calf is 4 months old. I've only had one case of navel ill and the calf was maybe a week old. Per my vet, hit him hard with 2 treatments of Resflor Gold and he recovered.
