summer job

I am looking to work for a cattle operation over this summer, prefrebly a show cattle ranch. I think it could be a great learning experiance. I am going to talk to the man I bought my heifer from, he is well know in the angus business and hopefully I can find a place to work there.

but are there any other ranches you know might need help?

If you personally know any ranchers, ask them first. Ask the places you buy animals from. Thats what I did, and I probably have a job at one. If they cant, then just call up or email some of the ranches and tell them youve been raising show cattle and are looking for some type of job for the summer. I plan on going on to vet school, so I said that I thought it would be a great experience and would benefit me greatly later on having more experience with the animals.

Thats about all I can think of to help you out. Just ask around. You might not get work with one of the big breeders, but Im sure you can find someone that is looking for some extra help.
