A group of jack asses in Oklahoma has bought one of many to come Suborbital Aircraft's for the purpose of being able to travel faster across the world and for tursim and so that scientists can study weightlessness. These are the benefits.

The down side to this new Suborbital Aircraft is that every time it enters the atmosphere it can potentially damage it causing more global warming than we already have.

I can understand the importance of NASA's work in space and exploration of Space. And they are creating more problems with the earths atmosphere with every rocket they and everyone else that launches rockets through the earths atmosphere. But their reason are way more important than tourism and to get some were on earth faster.

Sub orbital travel will eventually be very commonplace, sustainable and far less 'polluting' than current commercial air travel. The only reason we don't have faster than sound air travel now is because of sonic boom complaints. Wah wah wah wah!

Hold yer ears!

The air national guard flys supersonic around here for training. When they are close and low it hurts the ears and brain. Haha

But just think of it as the sound of freedom.

It used to be very common when I was a young lad. The jets coming into USAF base Ellington Field Houston. The T38s don't look terribly impressive but are mach1.3 capable and then there were NASA's chase birds. Ellington was a stopover and maintenance for the F5 FreedomFighter and F100 SuperSabre jets out of San Antonio's Kelly field in the 60s and early 70s.
