Strep Thoat

We are seeing quite a few cases, coupled with the flu...some involving mono. Nasty business.

You mean throat? Lol

A Thoat is a long, sleek creature with eight legs, a broad flat tail (that is less wide at the root than it is at the tip), and a large mouth that splits their head nearly in half. Thoats are slate in color shading into yellow at the feet, and their bellies are white.

Apple cider vinegar.... gargle day and night as soon as you feel the slightest any thing in your throat
In a pinch can you substitute a bit of bourbon and swallow instead of spitting?? :lol2: :lol2:

That’s how bad I felt. Chills, aches, it was rough.

Strep is nasty! I'm sorry to hear you have it. Get all the rest you need!

Been about 17 years since the last case I had. That last one was the worst I'd ever experienced. Went to one of those 24 hour med-express type places (it was a Sunday), the swab said it wasn't strep, I begged to differ. I'd had it before, I know how it felt. They even agreed that it looked like it; white throat, swelling, fever etc, but swab was negative. Went to my regular doc the next day, felt worse than ever. He looked and was convinced it was strep, but the swabs he took were negative. But he was convinced that it was, and started to treat immediately and took more swabs. after a couple of days, he called, he'd been trying to figure it out as to why the swabs read negative. He researched, etc and determined that it was a type "D" Streptococcus, and the swabs test for (if I remember correctly) types A, B and poss. C. The one I had was an "animal" one, but he could not determine the specific species.

At that time it could have been just about any anumal! At that time I was working with Llamas, sheep, horses, cows, donkeys, pigs, chickens, ducks, dogs, cats, rabbits, goats even koi, dealing with dead deer, raccoons, opossums.

Never had it, haven't had the flu in 13 years, I don't take a flu shot, last one was 13 years ago, and that's when I got the flu. 1000 MG vitamin C a day, multivitamin everyday, wash my hands at work 100 times, never touch anything in a public restroom, never put anything in my mouth, without washing my hands. Except when at my place running cattle or dealing with my own germs. Sure I have had cow crap in my mouth from time to time from putting in a dip of Copenhagen. I don't eat or drink after anyone. Just some habit I started after EBOLA hit few years ago. I deal with dirty dishes at work, I know I have infected saliva coming through daily, my dishwashers get sick, I send them home. Wife thinks it's wierd but when's the kids get sick so does she. I dont.

As a kid I used to get strep almost yearly. Finally, the doc said it was time to yank my tonsils and adenoids out. I was a junior in high school and it was one of the worst experiences of my life, but I haven't had strep since.

My doctor said to throw away your toothbrush after strep or you'd re-infect yourself. Probably doesn't hurt to discard daily.

Did that as well as toothpaste and chapstick. I’m hoping it stays away.
