Yes we have a big meth problem. My farm is within a mile of the start of the cumberland mountains. It used to be shine then marijuanna that came out of there. Now it is meth. Those boys were born rough, raised rougher and are mostly downright mean.

I know what you mean, I live near the outer fringes of the Cumberlands, myself. Those boys up on the plateau are different from us farm fed types. Things like meth seem to be their main cash crop up in those parts.
 
i dont know what kept you from shooting them boys when they got to your truck.i commend you for letting them live.if that wouldve happened round here they wouldve just gotten a call to come pick up the bodies.

I don't think I would have pulled a gun because I would have likely used it. I would have taken 'em both down if they didn't have a gun. If they had a gun, I would have let the sheriff get 'em.
 
In a past life I have used weapons to take lives and destroy equipment. It is not fun. I hated it....and still hate it.....well destroying equipment was fun. Even though I was licensed militarily via Uncle Sam it still leaves a hole in your psychy. I have no desire to kill anyone but if threatened I will. I can live with the fact that I have killed a meth freak intent on killing me or my family more than I can with the memories of killing another soldier / militant who is trying to kill me. At least he has a cause and it's not so personal.
 
You did a good thing Hoss. Just be on the watch in the future. If things in your area are like they are here those guys might be out of jail within a few weeks. Seems like someone respectable has to break a law around here to stay in jail and then the court system tries to make an example out of them. There are so many drug arrests that the jails wont hold them. Thanks , Bill
