Storing Potatoes

Any body have tips on storing potatoes?

store in a cool dry place. Lay out flat so that they are not touching each other.

In a dark place without touching each other. Use dry straw between layers.

my g-ma stores her sweet tators under her bed. but the potatoes stay in the garage. with plenty of air movement and dryness.

We get as much dirt off of them, let them dry in the sun for an hour or so after harvest, then put them in old milk crates down on the basement. It's cool, dry, and they will last all winter, or until we eat them all which is usually what happens. We do the same for onions also.
