stock pile fescue

when you stock pile fescue do you plant it in the late summer, and all of you that have and do it how do you like your results

Works real well, around august we hit it with Nitrogen, fence it off and let it grow when we do it this year we are trying a few different things

Planting it in late summer isn;t going to get you the best results. Stockpiling existing fescue is the best method. Plant in spring, graze or clip and then stockpile it for winter forage. But, if you don;t have the exisitng fescue, why not fall seed a mixture of WW and fescue?
