Here's one of our steers. He is just 5 months old, about 525 pounds. He's out of our Angus bull and a F1 Angus - Braham cross. I thought since we've been in a serious drought this year and he's had no supplemental feed or hay, he was looking good. The prices I got on his 1/2 brothers 3 weeks ago tells me we are finally doing things right.

ps - his nose is behind a fire ant mound. That is not a big clump of grass.

Naw. Another cow licked him there and the late evening sun caught it just right. That's mud on his rump.
