STAR OBF Bogart 5L,

Funny Alan you mentioned this bull my friend Dan Fitzpatrick bought this bulls mother while she was pregnant with Bogart at Star Lake's Sale. The mother is a full sister to Wrangler 19D. I agree with THG but I have seen some nice calves out of him. I personally did not use him. The mother although flushed all her life did not impress me. Probably the flushing did her in for me. Bogart did good in the showring he always ended up being right behind Online

I think Bogart females are hard doing cattle. I am not interested in anything that has Bogart in it. I am not a fan of 29F and not a fan of Lariat. I am also not a fan of 19D.

Matt,

Can you go into more detail to why you don't like 29F, also 19D? I'm not looking for an argument, just information... please PM me if you wish.

Alan

Matt I would like to know as well I know 29F I think the Dam's udder and her sire tracings were not likeable but I had good luck with 29F for some reason with both sexes. Also why 19D I thought his daughters were good and wet

I don't know enough about it to run my mouth, but I am staying away from 19D as well. I haven't been impressed with anything that I have ever seen out of Bogart

Well, I never liked the dam of Bogart, because she didn't have enough power for my likings and when I mention "power" I mean performance. She wasn't thick and I didn't think she milked well. Of course, I would never tell Jimmie Johnson that because he owned the cow. But, I was never impressed with Lariat, should have never been a donor cow, more like a cull cow in my book.

Well THG I agree I couldn't beleive my friend bought Lariat but she showed me he made alot of money on her with Bogart. I too did not like the looks of Lariat, but I know she was washed up looking from being flushed soo much at the time

I am not at this time interested in ever adding any Bogart to my cowherd. I wouldn't use the bull if you gave me the semen. I would rather use Vindicator before I use Bogart. At least the cattle wouldn't have bad feet and legs and hard doing.

You should know that THG is ultimate name dropper.

I never downed Jimmie Johnson at all with my comment, so I don't know what the both of you are talking about. Think your just trying to pick a fight over stupidity again. Again, never put Jimmie down for owning Lariat, maybe he saw something in the cow that I didn't and many others didn't either.
