I just watched a program about them that was on The American Rancher and I really like their thoughts on raising cattle
I was really impressed with the cattle and being 100% forage based was inpressive

Lots smaller than Pharo.

I hadn't heard of them, but Ben and Sherry Andrews are friends with some of my friends and they said they were going to be on the American rancher and was the first I had heard of them
They seem to have the same philosophy as Ohlde cattle

Their cattle looked great and it was good to see a ranch that is doing things a little different than the mainstream.

Hi Cross...I saw that segment too and enjoyed it for the same reasons you did. They seemed to have very nice cattle. Do you think their management system is much different than say the one employed by Pharo?

I would say it is significantly different. You're not going to find a Pharo bull that looks like the ones they have pictured.

Nice bull at 16:54. Good story. I like the way they have honored the folks who settled that country.

If anyone wants to read a tremendous story of perserverance and dedication to opening up some country there is a book called "old Jules" about a swiss who homesteaded and was responsibile for many others who homesteaded that country up around Valentine Neb. It may be hard to find but it's a real good read.
