Spring on the way

An early but sure sign spring is on the way. The air traffic controller geese showed up. There is a rock out cropping that sticks well out into the down stream field. Every year in the spring there is 2 geese that land on top of that rock and honk up a storm at any geese who fly by. We are still a little short on the geese showing back up but the air traffic control geese showed up yesterday. In another month it will get noisy here in the mornings. Lots of geese nest up an down the river. They all fly by here.

Forecast is 6-12" of snow for us that's an indication that spring is still 6 weeks away. Lol

Best sound of spring. Although the first sound of geese honking as they fly up the valley is a welcome sound as well.

From one New Yorker to another, I agree. Robins are nice and all but the peepers are the only thing that make me think growing grass is just around the corner. I'm ready this year but its gonna be a bit. We've had a thaw this week though and its been awful nice.

For sure peepers are my sign that spring is here and things are warming up.
