The grapefruit in Florida are at their best in winter, usually around Dec. from what I've seen.tamarack":3au7a63q said:Need another couple of months before spring in these parts. I was having a grapefruit for dessert tonight and it said "Product of USA" got me to thinking, When would it have been harvested? Do you have any citrus ripening close to this time in the south?
 somehow I think that last line isn't quite the way it goes.melking":12erbcz9 said:Spring has Sprung

Winter is Here
And it's colder than Last winter
Yes the sticker says Paramount Citrus, Paramount Texas I googled it and looks very interesting that they can grow them and get the fruit up to me in northern Alberta still in good shape. Never having a fresh one off the tree so I don't know the difference in taste between what I get and right off the tree. Still sweet and good here most of the time.ga.prime":winy2b88 said:Grapefruit from Fla and Tx are available in fall, winter, and spring. I think the later in the harvest, the sweeter they get. The best ones I've had are the Ruby Reds from the Rio Grande Valley.
