Spring Calves

I've been pretty happy with the way several of these calves have turned out this year. I've been creep feeding this group(Purina RangeLand) and feel like I can see its making a difference in these calves. The #22 calf is a 5 month old heifer.

They look good but why do you think the need for creep feed? They seem to have plenty of good grass there.

The grass may look good, but in reality this pasture is a work in progress. It's got a lot of sage grass and it's pretty weedy. I've brought it a long ways, but still have a long ways to go. That's one reason for the creep feed.
