Spring Bull Calf

i have a couple of photos in the gallery of a march 8, 2007 bull calf that i am considering keeping a bull. would appreciate your comments.

at 156 days, the calf weighed 585 lbs.

I would give him the opportunity to develope a bit more, he sure is thick and I don't see any problems, although I am sure you'll get a few "too much slope from hooks to pins" comments.

I would dehorn him though.

thanks, i was able to go back and edit my post to get the photos to work.

the last photo you included was a calf that was butchered today.

I don't disagree with you at all, Knersie. I think if he were standing on his hind legs evenly the "slope from hooks to pins" complaint would not be much of an issue - particularly at 156 days of age. Heck of a calf!
