spriggs

Make sure Wallace hoses them down for you before you leave his place. He always says he will on the phone but doesn't do it unless you press him while he is loading you. You will want the spriggs good and wet, and covered with a tarp before you start a 2+ hour trip back to East Texas. Also, pick a cool, high humidity morning to transport. Soak them again before nightfall if you have to overnight them on the trailer. And of course this quote from the NRCS' Technical Guide (which always make me laugh) "Plant spriggs and tops just before a gentle 2 inch rain"

Actually, we wet down every load that goes out unless you ask us not to. I don't know who you are or what you are talking about, but you need to get your facts straight. We go above and beyond to make sure everyone is happy when they buy sprigs or hay from us. If you had a problem with something that we did, you should have addressed it with us instead of running your mouth on the internet. Thanks, Ryan

And you signed on as a new member just to make that your first post? Looks like this started out to be a commercial for Wallace Farm/Sprigging and they ran into a disgruntled former customer. :lol2:

As long as you want to egg this carp on all I can say is BS. And I wouldn't say I was disgruntled either (at least until he started mouthing off). Just factual.

You can talk all the crap you want. It's just kinda funny that you are the only one that has had a problem with the way we handle things. Maybe it's just you.

"If you are happy with our service, tell every one you meet.
If you are not satisfied, tell only us!"

Under any other circumstances I probably wouldn't remember the name of the place unless I was in the market for sprigs at the time. After all that, I'll probably never forget the name but definitely will the number.

I have had the Wallace's sprig for me and had good luck. I have refered people to them from all over East Texas have not heard a bad word about their operation until dcara's post. Not saying he didn't have a problem, just not my experience with the Wallace family.

If you want to stay in business, disagreements absolutely have to be handled in a businesslike manor. The appropriate thing to have said was, "I'm sorry you were not satisfied. If you contact me personally, I will be glad to discuss it with you." The old saying: "Never argue with an idiot, other people can't tell the difference", holds true most of the time.

I agree with that statement 100%

Well, cross these folks off the potential suppliers list!
