What do you pay for a 50lb bag of soybean meal or the ton? I found a southern states I forgot about and seen it and it was 15.00 per 50.00lb bag. I heard its excellent feed for hogs and cattle anyone feed the stuff?

.19 per pound I payed last. It's about .13 on the board.
When it's cheap, it's the best concentrate this side of heaven.

Nice... I may try an experiment on the gain one day. Theres a guy on youtube that swears by it cracked corn and mineral for hogs

I use it in my hog and cattle feed and agree with sim.-ang.king great concentrate. most of what i get is around 41 to 46 percent protein and typically pay somewhere from .12 to .18 a lb.

Soybean meal is the highest quality protein source for pigs. Hi Pro will run 47.5% protein. Some will dilute it a bit with soyhulls and sell a 44% mix. Mix it with corn and a swine vitamin/mineral premix and you'll have a heck of a good hot feed.

Nice.. Does that mix do the same to calves?
Yep just make sure they get plenty of roughage as well to avoid acidosis. Hogs don't need roughage as their digestive system has difficulty digesting it.
