Sometimes you think you’re just going tagging calves

Good save!! And thanks for sharing the pics.

Does the sled work well going up/down hills & rough terrain? I've shoved calves in a dog crate before but that would be a lot easier.
Thanks.
The sled works great in all terrain but it can catch you going down an icy or snowy hill. I like the slot at the front to put a leg in which prevents the calf from leaving of it's own accord. It's really easy to load the calf as you don't need to lift it, just grab a leg and slide it in. I like to use a cane and hook the flank to pull it in. Keeps me at less of a disadvantage if momma is a bit waspy.

This cow was playing the lay down spit it out, stand up suck it in game before she calved. She calved unassisted 3 weeks ago. I've never had one vag prolapse like this after calving. I'm not super good at doing spinal blocks ( luckily I don't have a call to do many) so she was still kinda "pushy"
Back on pasture now with her calf. She can raise this one and then she's gone after weaning.
