Islanders do their cooking for feasts in big pits in the ground covered up. It bakes and steams the meat and vegetables, very tender. Maybe spelt hangi, possibly a Kiwi/Mari term.

Nope, it was a soup/stew with organs and bones with blood added at the end. Haha my son would have went for it but he's in Japan now. He'll try anything!!
