All three are progeny of our Just Right bull (14593650)
The top one is a January yearling out of a New Day daughter.
The bull calf is a January full brother to the top heifer.
The third photo is a mid January out of a 2yo Big Rok Ole 450 daughter.

robert, I am no just of cattle but I am not blind either. Very nice livestock.

BTW, I use tinypics to upload pistures from my photo gallery. Really very easy. Someone on CT put me on to it.

Robert

You just gotta like those New Day's I am a fan. All three are really nice cattle but the third pic of the Ole daughter is really showey (is that a word) sweet fronted very feminine plenty of depth and has a nice set of wheels just a nice little heifer.

What do you see that you don't like? I've got a fair idea but would rather read your critique.

Gizmom, they're all Just Right progeny, the hc is out of an Ole. Thanks for the compliment!

My comments was aimed at the showy heifer comment, but since you've asked...

The first heifer lacks femininity and balance, a bit coarse through the shoulders, fore rib need a bit more shape, very flat over the loin, seems very sound on her legs and feet.

The second bull calf is again very rough through the shoulders is very lacking through the fore rib, need more muscle on top, but the main problem is the lack of base width.

The "showy heifer" is feminine, carries her head very well, good neck extension, but that is as far as her showiness go. She doesn't have depth, has a poor shoulder rib attachment, hardly any muscle on top, very short hip, very fine bone, standing very close at the rear and is cow hocked. Sure a lot of this will appear better with more cover on her and I wouldn't necessarily call her a cull, but she is very average or a little below average at best. Who knows how she'll do in a youth or fat stock show in the USA, but she would be towards the end of teh class in any competitive breeding stock show.
