I sold my first two calves through the sale barn today. My calves are all over the place age wise due to starting out with strictly bred cows. I had to sell a cow that got down recently and her heifer calf was one that sold along with a bull calf. The heifer calf at 4.5 months went 355 lbs at 1.30 a lb. the almost 7 month old bull calf went 465 and brought 1.62 a pound. I was a bit disappointed in the weights but overall very happy to average what I did considering the circumstances. I have a whopper of a heifer that is up next but has been tough to pin. After that a really good looking bull calf that is also 4.5 months old. He is easily as big as the bull calf sold today and actually looks like a bull calf. Overall a good day and ready to do it again. G
