I have a group page for each herd, an individual page for each cow/bull. I keep track of all vacinations, calving dates, calf performance, sale information. I have aprint out page for each herd that has all cows and corresponding calves so all I have to do is glace at it and know how old is that calf, or this calf. Who has a calf, who is due to calve, ect. I looked into some of the commercial programs and got a few ideas and built on that. If you are effecient in excel or access you can whip up your own database customized to what you want in no time.![]()

I can get it done if I have to but I would much rather someone else write the hard coding to the programs I use. I don't really consider web coding "hard programming", So that way I can get away with likeing it

Funny how few people can read core dumps and solve problems anymore. I doubt seriously that I can still do it. But my programming started with machine code and alwasy felt that assembler was cheating.
My old version of PC Cobol only runs on 6.2.2 and older. None of the windows DOS supports it. When I quit mantaining my COBOL version of cattle managment software myself I was finally able to retire my old 386 box.

JT - fortran fits right in with the 386 (graveyard dust IMO )
