I heard on the radio that people were complaining about how animal control treated the coyote. They said it was just laying there so peacefully not bothering anything, and they come in, jabbing it in the neck and strangling it. I thought it was funny that people are so dumb. It is a wild animal, possibly diseased. Not a smart idea to walk up and try to put a leash on it.

What I find humourous is they are taking it to a suburb to a rehab center and than releasing it to the "wild", which around there might be a forest preserve that is already over run by coyotes (Which is why they are showing up in Chicago now too).. No surprise that they are doing this mind you, just like there is no surprise that people complained about the treatment of the critter but really.. It doesn't accomplish much to move them 20 miles to the west. The other funny part to me was the local newspaper article had a quote telling people to call 911 if they spotted a coyote.. I wonder what my local center would say if I did that

yeah seen that on the news. they said they had a vet check over it for desease. and said it was ok. then showed it when they let him go in a timber. it ran right into a tree!! umm yeah, its really ok :?
