I know many of you think nothing about a big snow but much of Virginia and North Carolina could get from 12-24 inches of snow the next few days. This is almost unheard of here. I am on the western edge so we may not get over 3-6 inches but that is more than we got all last winter combined.

I'm right smack dab in the middle of the forecasted deep doodoo. Bet we get an inch or two!

I can remember in January of 96 or 97 we got 30" here, drifts over my head. Didn't own a 4wd tractor, or one with a cab for that matter. I wouldn't mind a foot, and up to 2' is manageable. But 3' just plain sucks.

We're supposed to have 65f and sunshine today Sat and Sun!! Hopeing to get to the park with sunflower seeds for the birds and treerats. :D Starts to cloud up Monday.. Been cool for the last week.

I'm going to place some hay rings closer to the hay supply @ the two areas I feed. Both places will allow my small calves shelter if they want it. As said by others on here, I don't worry about dry cold but when they get wet and a cold wind picks up they really draw up.

I was feeling all winey about how much rain we have had but now realize that rain isn't all that bad. Hope all of you make it through the storm without any damage or losses. Stay as warm and dry as possible, good luck.

Be careful out there.
Hope you all have generators, food, and extra fuel. You might lose power. Stay in until it melts.

We have about 2" here in outer London, but where my Daughter is in the North of England they have about 8". We here in the South are expecting more and I am supprised that the gritter lorries have been out in force before the snow fall. and nothing ground to a halt as it usually does. England has finally got its act together regarding the Weather  Just wish it was +30 rather than -3.

Got some freezing rain here yesterday, not a very common thing around here. Roads are pretty bad. Listened to the Counties report this morning and it sounded like 4 wrecks were the average.
School buses were cancelled this morning.
