Well it’s snowing in North Alabama this morning. It takes me about 30 min. to get to work. In my drive this morning I saw several cars slip and sliding around. Seen one car that had slid off the side of the road, there was a SUV that hit an embankment when they were going down to a bridge and taped their breaks. So I am about 4 miles from work and I look and there is a Jeep Cherokee upside down in a ditch that was lined with rock. No one was around and only one guy had stopped and he was walking like it was a Sunday afternoon stroll. I was able to stop my truck and get to the Jeep before him. I was trying to make my way to it and looking to see if I saw anyone, I said hello and got no answer. I said hello louder and about that time I here, “I am in here”. I don’t know why but my nerves stood out on their ends when I heard the young boy. I dove through the back glass and found a 16 year old boy on his way to school, hanging upside down. We were able to unbuckle his seat belt and drag him out safely. He is ok, just bumps and burses.

Here is where I got aggravated. I called 911, then next county over picked up my call (which they were very nice) and they had to transfer me to the county I was in. I told the 911 dispatch in Marshall County where I was. I told her that I was North of Albertville on state Hwy 75. Just north of a intersection and I gave the intersection name. For 15 mins we waited and had to call again. Then found out that the Police were headed South on US 431, which was about 7-8 miles away. When the police got there I asked what’s the deal. Found out that the dispatcher is from Michigan, which I have no problem with, but if you are going to take emergency call and try to tell the police where you are, please learn the map of the area that you are working it.

Not just drivers in Alabama. These people here have driven on snow their whole life and every year the first snow they act like they've never seen it before. I guess we need "no driver left behind" here. We could blame their drivers ed teachers then.

there was a mexcan that wasnt use to it, lose control ran across the four lane hit a lady in the opposite lane, then was thrown front his vehicle

The lost 911 operator is nothing new anywhere.
You have to realize they are looking at a computor screen telling them where to send the emergency personal. Had an ambulance get lost out here because the dispatcher told them to head to a certain town. The crew looked at the road map and realized they were way off.

If you were using a cell phone and if they have the new system that pin points a cell phone they could have been heading towards the cell tower instead.
Yes sometimes they don't listen too well either, but they also have to do a hard job. Give that person some time and they will get better.

Auburn ag,I just live 3 miles off Hwy 75,about 4 miles from said intersection. Albertville was full of hispanic wrecks this morning.

This kid was about 16 or 17, said that he was headed to put gas in hid grandmorther jeep cherokee and then to school. He came off a bridge a little to fast and taped his breaks and it sent him sliding sideways, then upside down in a ditch. He was shook up, i dont think he had ever been told to slow down and just ride it out, dont hit the brakes.

.

JD Chandler is dead, he also had a Partner with him. His last name is Hunt. Yes is Kilpatrick you can’t sling a dead cat without hitting a mobile home. Hunt has a set up, owner finances everything, he showed me where he had a million dollars financed. In the YEARS he has been doing this he has only sold 6 parcels of property.

ALA I am not sure what happen to the dirt bike track. I will tell you that is a real treat to see the little old Mexican woman hearding her goats and sheep down the side of a state hwy while they graze.

i was by there going too the barn a couple months ago,,, there were ecapee chickens running down that same stretch,, i was thinking run you SOB'S are you'll be fajitas berfore dark :cowboy:
