Has anyone seen any around their place yet? I am not overly surprised about the snakes but last year this time we were loaded with ticks and I haven't seen one on me or the dogs yet.
During the winter they just burrow into the ground and leaf litter. It used to be common around here to burn the woods every year to eliminate the ticks. Took many years for people to catch on that there were as many after burning as before.skyhightree1":2ai9l3er said:I don't mind the snakes but the ticks is what I hate those things can hide anywhere. I am hoping all this snow and ice we got took care of some of the population like Tn cattle said.

Haven't seen a tick in years. Wife said she saw a dead rattlesnake draped over a barbed wire fence last year. Guess the owner kilt it.skyhightree1":2l2b83ro said:Has anyone seen any around their place yet? It's the mosquitos that are going to be terrible this spring and summer. Too much standing water.
