That pitch man with the lips is up on my top left in the angus ad every time I log in.

From my earliest childhood memories no one wants a block shouldered bull. They had a bull on their page a couple of weeks back that looked to be 4 foot across the front. The one up there now is blocked across the front. Definately not smooth shouldered.

Has the mindset changed through the years? Terminology has so I probably used the wrong wording. Those shoulders look like a calving train wreck to me. Go ahead and tell me I'm wrong. I want to hear why.

Okay I googled.

Found this link as a hit: http://doublehphoto.blogspot.com/2012/0 ... bulls.html

One thing to check out physically is the shape and size of a bulls shoulders, and the shape of his head. These are typically among the "problem spots" when calving. If a bull has smooth shoulders and a relatively long, narrow head, he's likely to pass them on to his calves, and they will be born with ease compared to calves with big, bulky shoulders and a big, fat head.
