Smart Chargers ?

Need some tips on using a smart charger:

- It sometimes refuses to charge a fully discharged battery, but my old "dumb" charger will work?
- Some battery will be partially charge, and then the % charge display just flat lines at a constant value?

Usually a smart charger will work on it's trickle setting in manual on a completely dead battery. Once you get a partial charge you can go to automatic and a higher amperage
