What is the going rate per pound for small squares of mixed first cut hay in your area?

Looking to tender 1000 bales to the local auction barn, but my bales are heavier than others ~ 60 lbs compared to 35-40 lbs. The competition asks for $2.50. I am looking at $4.00. This is to bale and deliver and unload bales at the stockyard.

I suppose it depends on availability but around here I buy all kinds of small squares for 4 cents. If you get to some very good quality later cutting alfalfa it could get as high as 6 but that's the top. You are at 6.6 cents and your competition is at 6.25 so by the pound you are behind right out the gate.

5 cents for mixed cattle hay in the field
6 cents for mised horse hay in the field ( I need a premium for listening to all the horse owner hassle)

Aaron guys around here are getting $4.00 a bale for 65-70 lb alfalfa premium hay.

2.00 for mixed grass picked up out of the field or 2.50 out of the barn.
