Looks about like our 3rd cutting of alfalfa last saturday. We got 65 squares off of 8 acres!!!! Of course it did get rained on by a pop up shower the night it was cut. Oh well, we needed the 1.5 inches of rain a heck of a lot more than the few extra bales we lost due to the rain.

Last year we got 2 bales off of a third of a 15 acre field and didn;t even bother baling the rest. This year it was it's normal 44 bales.

I know what its like. I got about 100 bales this yr. Last year I got over 800. I turned cows inthe oats that I intended for hay.
Still hoping for rain on the corn crop.

yep.. hay around these parts is not as good, due to lack of rain. We got over 275 bales last year (4x5's) on 125 acres, and this year only 188.

I haven't made a first cut yet on most of the fields. I did cut a small one that I didn't get cut last year becuase of rain. I am still waiting for it get tall enough to round bale. While much of Fla is getting rains, I am still getting it running all around me. Just enough to keep it green but not grow much.
