I saw the buck that was killed in video 4 -5 this morning while checking my place. I had my 17 hounds in the truck so I dropped them on him. I didn't get the kill shot but got the deer running across my pasture and going to meet some double ought. I told them do not shoot in my pasture wait till the deer is out. The deer ended up having the foot rot disease

The other videos are just my hounds singing too me.. video 6 was my friends hounds others are mine may have to cut the volume way up lol

Yea its pretty gross stuff. Yea its a big problem this year game dept suspects that 50-60% of the deer population has died. Major problem for years to come they have that blue tongue disease too.

Hooves look really long, must have been unsound. Good thing he was killed.

Yea if you watch the videos it didn't run like the normal deer when dogs are behind him.

King I honestly don't know much about it this is the first time ever this has happened here. The game people are supposed to get back with us. We did not eat it. I normally count 15-20 deer a day when bow and black powder hunting this year maybe 1 a day.

That hoof condition is part of the disease (Blue Tongue). It's a viral disease caused by infection from a small fly.
The flies are referred to as midges.
I can't think of anything good coming from deer around my cattle.

he.. no I love my bounds and have way too much $$$ tied up in them to feed them that crap.

Thanks shane. I hope so too we are not hunting everyday like we usually do and are letting alot of does go and small bucks in the hopes we have something to hunt next year. Its been a rough year.

We got a dose of that stuff in the 80's for several years after you were lucky to see a deer track much less a deer.
