I got me a Holstein steer be havin a spot develop over his left eye. It be grey in color, no hair growin on it, no swelling, smooth to the touch at first but now seem to be a bit on the rough side. It don’t seem to be causin him any pain to touch it, neither seem to be getting any bigger. Anyone ever be seein this in the past ? Any ideas what it might be?

Could be a wart, an absess, or even a pre-cancerous polyp!
Could even be something worked it's way in the skin. Got a picture? It is on the skin right?...not in the eye ball? Have you penned the animal and examined it closely?

My level of education be not the highest there be either, but my better half always seems ta make sure I do OK :D I been a lucky man in that respect!

Everytime I read his posts I now think of the movie Southern Comfort, where the Cajunheads start killing these guys who are passing through the marshland swamphomes in Louisanna. Better than Deliverance, in my opinion.

Rookie....could be ringwrom, or could be dry skin...we have a calf that has dry skin on his forehead. The cream that you use for athletes foot works well on ringworm, takes a couple of weeks but works.
Sounds like we went to the same welding school....bigger the blob the better the job!
