Sitz Angus Ranch, Harrison, Mt.

Today's Sitz Angus Angus Ranch auction isn't being broadcast on RFD network It has been changed to Dish Network only.

I couldn't watch it. I subscribe only to DirectTv.. Both Direct and Dish carry the same networks and have the same programs probaly 99% or more of the time. But this week the Auctions broadcast from RFD hasn't been shown by DirectTv. You reckon they were X Rated?

That's two sales this week. Has there been a falling out between RFD and Superior?

I highly doubt RFD opted to show whatever that stuff was due to overwhelming interest in folk singing instead of Angus cattle sales.

I watched part of it, some of the bulls went for $20k or so. Most were about $5k to $10k.
I tuned in to both this week and all they had was Big Joes Polka Show. I find it hard that they opted out of the sales to show the singing crap. I don't know how much truth there is to it, but I have heard that it cost $5,000.00 to $6,000.00 to have an auction televised. If this is truth I would think that the auction's would come before just about anything else.

Maybe with sale prices down a bit the sellars may be cutting back on there advertising costs  They may be saving money by just having the sale shown on the cheaper network!!

I've been told it was $4,000/hr but that was for a sale that typically takes 10 hours. I'm sure it's more per hour for short sales.

Something tells me there is a problem with RFD if they had to move to another channel.

I used superior. They cost $3000/hour for just tv broadcasting or $3250/hour if you want to use both tv and the internet version, plus all travel expenses, mailings of dvd's, and any other expenses that they may come up with. We had 2 hours booked and it ended up costing about $6700. They are expensive, but for us, they more than paid for themselves. I already have them booked for next year.

Was your sale on RFDTV? If Superior is no longer using RFDTV, will you still use them?

Yes it was on RFDTV, and yes I still plan to use them, what ever the channel is they are on.

I spoke to one of the ladies in the office. The way I understood her there is a pproblem with the FCC, but they are expecting to be back up and running on DirectTv right after the first of the new year. I couldn't get any more out of her than that and I am not sure I'm correct about that.
