Been there, done that but has been a long, long time. These days I look forward to have such a problem.

"DANGER. DON'T EVER DO THIS! This video should have a prominent warning to never drive a stuck tractor forward. What these guys did is very dangerous. When you drive a stuck tractor forward, the wheel torque lifts the front end up. It can easily flip the vehicle backwards. People have been killed doing this. Always back up a stuck tractor. The torque will push the front end down instead of lifting it. And reverse often has higher torque."
I love the warning label beneath this video. The tractor's front end did in fact kick up when the log dug in and got a good bite in the ground.
I guess 4 wheel drive is the order of the day.
