Had a calf born Saturday, was running around yesterday afternoon. This morning Dad checked on them and and it is down. He said it looked like it had lost control of its bowels and can't even raise its head. He said it is almost dead.
Called the vet and they said I should give probiotics and shot of antibiotics. In my experience it is a lost cause when they are that weak. I have never seen one go down that fast. It was nursing good and cow has lots of milk. I don't know what happened.
