There is 60 calves out there so I tried to go for group shots as much as possible. All of these calves are a result of the famous breeding program, out of sale yard by truck. For some reason this group of juvenile delinquent like to gather on top of the irrigation ditch. Others like to lay on the hay rather than let their mothers eat it. The black white face calf is the one born during the sub zero weather we thought he would loss his ears. This is Snow White 2.0. Bought her mom for $1,150 the day my starter went out at the sale. This is the newest one born about noon yesterday. This is a cow of B's that wintered out. A couple of weeks ago she moved into my driveway and took up squatter's rights. B didn't think she had a calf in her. I agreed. Yesterday morning she was between the road and the fence. Her new calf was between the fence and the main irrigation ditch. We got them back together and later out into my field.
