How heavy do your show cattle finish at?
My heifer was bred and the show was in july, and she probably weighed 1450-1500 pounds.
Steer finished at 1140 pounds.
Steer was Salers (they are great cattle. just give them a try :nod: )
heifer was Black Angus.

For the Texas "majors".. (Ft. Worth, San Antonio, Houston) you want the steers to finish between 1150 and 1250.

Heifers aren't shown by weight.. at least around here.

Thank you. This year we weighed the comm. females, and not the pures.
Also the Champion steer weighed 1325 pounds. How much do show bulls finish at?
