Show Bull Question

I was wandering if anyone could answer this question.
I noticed that a great deal of show bulls advertised are always shown as young bulls 1 year or less. Why do these people not update the pictures of bulls when they are 4 years of age or more???????????

I was looking at some AI Books and I noticed most of the composite bulls are very young.

People want to see what the sire of their potential show calves looked like at show age.

Not too many 4 year old shows around, are there?

I want to see any bull I buy at yearling too. Hard to tell what a bulls' calves will resemble at finishing age by looking at an older bull.

Also, many promoting a bull don't want to change a recognized picture to a new one.

Sometimes we use the yearling picture and the 2 year old picture in the same ad.

Most composite club-calf bulls are long gone by the time they are 4 years old. Either they didn't pan out or had an unfortunate accident. They are a dime a dozen

The reason for pictures of bulls at a young age is that is when they can be changed the most by a fit and their flaws can be hidden. It is the easiest to make piece of crap look like a bull you might want to use. Top be honest if you are looking at a show bull as an ai sire find out where he is to be shown and see him wet so you can see what his structure is like but remember to get your hands on him as well as he could have a pile of fat on him too.

If you have EVER been in Las Vegas - - you HAVE been stuck in traffic! 4:30 P.M. on the Strip going South OR North - stuck in traffic! 4:30 A.M. on the Strip going South OR North - stuck in traffic!

On the day after Christmas - 1933 - (Yes, that year was 1933) I was stuck in traffic on a suspension footbridge hanging over the canyon at Hoover Dam when it was about 1/3 finished. A Guide took my Dad and me ( 7 years old! ) out on that stupid thing, swinging softly back and forth in the air 800-1000 feet above the Colorado River!! :shock: :shock: :shock: I had gotten a new pair of Chaps for Christmas, - - - and they wouldn't stay up around my hips. I had to hold them with one hand and hang onto my Dad with the other hand and my chattering teeth! Scared to death! My Mother was NOT, - ah say, Son - NOT happy with my Dad! Looking back on it now, though, I am glad he took me! VERY interesting now when I go back there and look at the Dam! 74 years ago!!

Bulls have the most amount of hair they will ever have when they are young...like myself as well.

Never been too Vegas. The only hookers I am aware of in Alabama are the ones that you meet when you pull in to a truck stop for diesal....and I doubt they or their clienteile CAN read.
