Given the uncertainty of the election outcome, I'm wondering if there will be a shortage of ammunition and/or guns in 2009. However, since 40 of the 50 States have "Right To Carry" laws and some 1/3 of the USA population owns one or more guns, I sincerely have doubts that the gun laws in the USA will change anytime soon, perhaps in my lifetime... Given the nature of the USA population with their appreciation of individual rights (exempting some of the radical "anti" everything people), I think if anyone or any group tried to disarm the USA citizens there would be another "Civil War"...lol. We need to prosecute the Criminals, not law abiding citizens...
I recall something on MSNBC talking about some airports that still allowed people with a Concealed Handgun Permit to enter the Terminal (but not past the security check points). In this respect, it was reported that one of the administrators or managers of the DFW Airport indicated that Texans love their guns and the permit holders were the law abiding people. As such, DFW Airport still allowed properly licensed people to be armed at the airport. There were several other airports in the country that had the same policy; however, I forgot who they were.
