I am getting ready to start finishing a new work shop. I plan to finish the inside in metal (pro rib). I am also installing a new 200 amp service (direct burial). I’ve been trying to decide weather to wire it inside the walls with old work boxes cut into the steel or run it all outside in conduit with exposed boxes. I can see pro and cons to both. Just looking for opinions either way. One of the few times I would like to hear them lol

Me personally I would do conduit and outside boxes. Cutting in and trimming around boxes in metal is a PITA. Also as you want to add, change or move something it is easy enough.

I did mine on the exterior of the metal walls in conduit. Really happy with it, looks tidy, and if I want to add something on to it it's a breeze.

I agree with outside in conduit.
