Just in case anyone is thinking about buying a load of cows from some of the Missouri drought areas. Make sure they are TB tested before they leave Missouri. They will have to be kept there for 3 extra days while this is being done. Add those cost to your purchase price. If not done there they will have to be done when they arrive at your farm. Or in the case of 1 load of cows that came to VA 3 weeks after they arrived. Talk about a headache.
Only good thing was it was a friend and not me. I had talked to Angus Cowman and to Dun about buying cows and had made the calls to Missouri to get it going. The buyer that was going to do it said to wait 3 more weeks. 3 weeks will probably mean never now.
Im not saying it is not needed but just letting people know it would have to be done.
