Semen Spoiling

I bought a cryocube which is supposed to hold semen for 5 days. When I opened it after 2 days after reaching the destination the contents were not very cold and the semen was in a liquid state. Please let me know if anyone had any experience with cryo cube or vapor shippers.

How long can semen be kept at room temperature before the sperms die.
How do I make sure the semen is still OK.

It can't be kept at room temp. The sperm is dead. No expenence with a cryocube.

Yep, no safe exposure time, once out of N has to be thawed and used straight away, within minutes.

I've never handled fresh bovine semen as everything I handle is frozen but five days is about right. After that there should still be some viable but your conception rates would start dropping dramatically.
For clarity, You're asking about fresh semen that hasn't ever been frozen, correct? If so then you're fine. If it's frozen and then thawed then it won't last as long.
