Seeding question

I am considering planting a mix of peas and oats this year. I have read that the best mix is 60% Forage Oats & 40% Forage Peas. Is this by seed count, weight, or bushels? Seems like I’m over thinking this.

I would guess weight given the large difference in seed size. I'm assuming most would want a good deal more grass than legume.

Come to think of it, many companies sell mixes, and the % is weight based.

That should be a good mix and the peas will give you some nitrogen.
