Dam: Hudson Pine/Rocking P cow. This is her fourth calf at Bright Raven. All have been over 90 pounds except this one. She is a big cow, guessing 1650.

Kris. Price is the only cow I got that scares me a little when she has a calf. This is day two and she is still protective.

The evening she had the calf, I picked it up and weighed it on the other side of the hot wire. Price was not happy.

I will get a better picture in a few days. But I like the calf.

Looks like a keeper. I`m going to use Optimizer on a few of my cows this fall they brought the semen yesterday.

Very nice calf. Take care around those cows with new calves, I have been surprised a few times by their reactions.

The calf in the background is an Uno Mas out of a heifer. I am pleased that I have held down the birth weights on the heifers by using Uno Mas. But the Uno Mas calves are not in the same league with the Optimizer, Grandmaster, Upgrade calves. First Sweep has had the same experience with Uno Mas.
