NO THE WHOLE ACC IS NOT THAT STRONG BUT THEY ARE GETTING BETTER EVERY YEAR....EXCEPT FOR UVA....

Florida State has a good program. They hired a SEC type coach and it worked. When the SEC expanded I was actually hoping that Florida State would be the expansion team for the SEC east. But even if they would have wanted to join the SEC the University of Florida would not of allowed it. But I can tell you this if FSU was in the SEC this year they may have still made to the championship but they would have done it as a one lose team. FSU won the National Championship in a hard fought battle and they deserved that title but there are several SEC teams that would have give them that same battle. Some make the argument that Auburn was not the SEC's best that they just got lucky. That's why I think FSU was an 11 point favorite going into the game and a lot of folks thought that was low. before the game I really believed Auburn was going to win but I do think there are several SEC teams that could beat FSU. LSU would be my top choice. Their defense would put a hurt on them Noles. I think A&M would give them fits in a shootout. FSU is glad it wasn't Alabama coming in undefeated. I'm not saying FSU would not have won last night no matter who the SEC sent in but I am saying there are several SEC teams fully capable of beating them. Heck Auburn should have beat'em. I just don't understand why a lot of people say the SEC is weak this year? Sending 10 teams out of 14 to bowls and winning 7 of those 10 games don't sound weak to me!
A big congrats to FSU on a well earned victory! :tiphat: At least it wasn't the Ducks or Ohio State! :cowboy:

It is getting way deep in here. The top 2 SECond rate conference teams LOST. They beat no one in the top 10. Nebraska beat Georgia, and ATM almost lost to Duke :lol: Alabama couldn't even beat a 2 loss OU. Florida got beat by who this year?

The emperor has no clothes. It is time to take an honest look at the ESPN propaganda.

ATM came in and beat your princess of the sec at home their first year, Missouri had a down year because of internal issues and came back and won the eastern side the next. They weren't powerhouses any time before.

The truth is, there is more equality among programs but that just doesn't fit the business bottom line of ESPN so they push the commercialization, and the Second rate conference boosters eat it up.

If the SEC is a second rate conference who's first?
You are looking at the results of individual games that you choose but the overall picture of the conference against other conferences shows that the SEC is the powerhouse of college football.
 
I have to give you guys credit I've never seen a bunch of people stand up for their own like the SEC does! The bottom tier talks more smack then the teams who are actually winning the big games!

The reason we stand up so for the conference is because the better the conference does overall it helps with the recruiting for all conference teams. A strong conference equals stronger teams even the lower tier teams. For the most part we're like brothers we fight each other at home but when a brother leaves the house he has our support. And fans from every level feel that way. I live in the heart of the SEC and know the faithful from most all the school's and they all support the Conference. The A&M guys I know feel this also even as new as they are. I can't understand why all the conferences aren't this way.

It's sort of like the revenue sharing situation. SEC ALL share equally regardless of size of school or how many games you win....Big 12 Texas get's a huge chunk and by the time you get to the bottom 2 or 3 school they hardly get enough to pay the light bill.
 
Auburn's coach wanted FSU to play the second half, and they did. Auburn got all the breaks and the calls, and the non-calls also. FSU was not as good as I thought they were. All that BS. and shuffling around works good in collage football. But in the pro's it doesn't last long before the coaches and players have it figured out. To me the worst part of the game was where it was played. Two teams from the south having to play on the left coast. That wasn't fair to either school or the fans.
