Searching Anomolies

Hi All,

I've found some strange behaviors with the search capability on this site and am not sure where to post my findings (and ask for help).

For example, if I search for "Red Angus" I get ZERO matches. However, if I search for "Red Anugs" (notice the mis-spelling) I get exactly two hits where Angus was mispelled.

Also, a search for "Angus" returns ZERO hits, but a search for "Hereford" returns 82 pages.

Can someone provide some insight into this strange behavior? Surely there are threads that have discussed Red Angus.

I'm wondering if the search feature may not have an issue or two - case in point, there is a member of this board that has 900+ posts (per their profile), but if you search using that members username you get a message that says "No topics or posts met your search criteria". :???: :? You're right, Red Angus have been discussed many times on here.

skip the sites search feature. use the google bar at the bottom of the page an leave it on search cattle today.
You'll get 116 posts. Kinda a round about way but it works.
for me, in my operation, and the locale and enviroment and all the other disclaimers when it works for me and maybe not for you. Here's the link that I came up with.
