I have a 7 month old heifer that I just noticed was keeping her left eye about half shut. I put her in the head gate and noticed the white wound which looks like a bad scratch. As you can see in the picture, it's located at the edge of the cornea. There was a small about of dried mucus but for now it doesn't appear to be running. I flushed it with some saline solution and later bought some Vetericyn eye wash. Is this one of those "wait for it to heal" things, or should I do something more? I found in another thread on this forum someone said "It's gonna take a couple of weeks for them to go through the healing process which includes bubbles and white eyes". Any other helpful tips are appreciated!
