That's where I got my last one. Isn;t near as heavy as the ones I had years ago. Ended up just pitching it.greybeard":25b6300c said:dun":25b6300c said:I used to wear Kromer Caps. Haven;t found a source of good ones in years. Now I just wear a knit watch cap for the cold.

Expensive for a cap.
Not sure what the correct name is, but I wear something like these--the one labeled FL. I get them at the welding supply store here.

When it comes to caps/hats, one size might fit most but it won;t fit me. Every cap/hat I've ever bought from Cabelas has been that way3waycross":2vxbu7n8 said:I don't know what model mine is but like Dave it's so warm and heavy that i has to be real cold before i can wear it. Mine is lined with gore-tex and heavily quilted also.

I used to do that but now my glasses steam up so bad I can't see. Same problem with a face mask during turkey seasoncross_7":1jg3wnpn said:Bigfoot":1jg3wnpn said:I wear a felt cowboy hat. Warm, and dry. Keeps rain out of your collar as well. Add wrap around ear muffs if it's cold enough.
That's exactly what I do plus I have a fleece neck gaiter( I aint cowboy enough for a wildrag)
I pull the gaiter up over my mouth and nose when it's real cold, but it's a pain when you have a dip and have to pull it down to spit and then pull it back up and readjust it
