Scientists Confirm World's Oldest Creature...But Kill it Det

I will be the only one that feels this way, but I am skeptical of science. I don't see how something could live that long. Seems like it would have petered out years ago. I also don't buy into evolution.

To me science that can be replicated repeatably is totally different than theory.

Current literature too often uses various theories (like evolution) as accepted facts and kids are taught as such, which is the complete opposite of scientific method. Science is advancement through proving hypothesis false, not only accepting what fits your preconceptions or agenda. It is important to note that adaptation (differences in same species) is not the same as the theory of evolution (all different species and life that originated from simple organisms that originated from proteins that happened to be created from muck that come from nothing?).

However, to throw something out there for you, do you believe that Abraham lived 175 years? And that going backwards up to Noah and the great flood the generations lived an increasing length of life? If you placed the ages of death in a chart chronologically, it would show an exponential decline or "natural decay" rate- because it is so often seen in nature. Then the question comes down to, did the environment change at the time of the big flood, or did the genetic information become bottle necked with mutations existing, or a combination of such factors? I think science and belief in creationism are not mutually exclusive but can actually be used in concert to understand our beginning. But you have to be careful what is called fact vs what is called theory.

Yes, I do believe that in old testement times, people lived a really long time. I have always believed that. Until you posed the question, I never really thought about why that number decreased.

I also accept that animals adapt. The fact that they do proves a grand design to me, and not happen stance.
